SUCCESS IN FIGHT TO SAVE THE TASSIE DEVIL

This year’s breeding season at Devil Ark has been heralded a success, with 32 new devils born.
Hidden away in the Barrington Tops, the Ark welcomed 26 new joeys in its first breeding season last year.
More than 90 per cent of the Devil population is affected by Devil Facial Tumour Disease making it one of the country’s most important conservation projects.
Devil Ark now has over 100 devils and is on track to reach it’s ambitious plan of 360 devils by 2016.
NBN’s Stephanie Jeanes travelled to the Barrington Tops earlier in the year to visit the Ark.
