Inverell is set to receive a brand new basketball half-court by the end of the year.
It will be built on this vacant field on Old Bundurra Road, adjacent to the popular skate park.
The project comes thanks an $89,000 state government grant and will also feature a graffiti mural.
“The school grounds have been fenced in, so therefore we need to make it accessible for people to play basketball on weekends and after school hours… this is really a great opportunity for us.”
Construction gets underway next month.
