Train buffs rejoice – a popular steam locomotive will return to Steamfest this year, after being out of service for more than a decade.
The 3801 will run on the tracks at Maitland next month, following extensive boiler repairs.
The war-era engine hauled one of the main passenger services between Sydney and Newcastle for more than 30 years.
