COUNCIL UNDER STRIFE OVER ALLEGED UNFAIR REDUNDANCIES

Hundreds of workers are planning to walk off the job next week, claiming they’re being unfairly treated by Newcastle Council as it prepares to move buildings.

The union says three employees have suddenly been let go, under a “redeployment program.”
