MAITLAND HOSPITAL’S FUTURE UP IN THE AIR

A question mark hangs over Maitland’s new hospital, after a similar public-private partnership for Wyong Hospital was scrapped by the state government.

It’s prompted calls for the model to be thrown out elsewhere – but the Coalition says that’s not on the agenda… at this stage.

“I’m quite satisfied that we’ve got a little while to go with Maitland to make sure we get the best product at the end of that,” Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald says.
