Over at Gosford waterfront a rally over maternity care cuts took place on Sunday as part of International Women’s Day.
Dozens came to support the Midwifery Group Practice who are calling for better access to its service – after two and half of its full-time positions were moved over to hospitals.
“That will mean 100 less women a year will be able to access that service. What we’re saying is we just desperately need this service to be increased not to be changed. We don’t want staff to be removed from the hospital we want staff to be increased for the Midwifery Group Practice.” – Michelle Cashman – Registered Nurse
