DRY OLD FEBRUARY

The New England and North West has experienced one of the driest Februaries on record, with some towns suffering the lowest rainfall ever recorded for the month.
Tamworth has surpassed its previous record of 15.4 millimeters, recording a startling 0.8 millimeters of rain last month, while Inverell had a new low of 1.8 millimeters.
Other parts of the region recorded their lowest rainfall in 20 years, with Nundle and Gunnedah catching less than four millimetres each.
