CENTRAL COAST MEN ELIMINATED FROM SURFEST

Copacabana’s Matt Wilkinson has been knocked out in the round of 96 at Surfest in Newcastle.

The goofy-footer came third in his heat and missed out making it into the next round by less than a point.

Wilkinson previously won the event in 2016.

While North Shelly Boardrider Joel Vaughan was also eliminated, with a two-wave total of 12-point-3.
