NATIONALS’ AUSTIN CURTIN CONCEDES DEFEAT IN LISMORE

Labor’s Janelle Saffin has made history today – claiming victory as the first female elected to represent the seat of Lismore. The Country Labor candidate narrowly defeated the National Party – who have held the seat for the past 50 years.

Despite Nationals candidate Austin Curtin securing close to 40 per cent of the primary vote – The Greens preferencing helped secure Labor’s win.
