Liverpool Plains Shire Council has received a State Government grant to assist with disaster recovery.
The shire took a hit earlier this year, after severe thunderstorms and flash flooding left a path of destruction.
The council submitted a natural disaster declaration earlier this month, which was deemed successful on Tuesday.
The funding will include help for eligible residents whose homes have been damaged, support for local councils AND freight subsidies.
