Kyogle and Richmond Valley residents whose homes have been damaged by severe storms and flooding could be eligible for disaster assistance.
A joint Commonwealth and state funding initiative has been announced.
It will also help councils cover the cost of the clean-up.
Disaster assistance has already been made available in the Clarence Valley, Lismore and Coffs Harbour areas.
