Byron Shire Council has issued a $2000 fine for dumping household waste on a Ocean Shores median strip.
The Shara Boulevard and Kolora Way intersection is considered a hotspot for illegal dumping with at least 22 incidents reported in the last six months.
Council says it spends more than $150,000 a year cleaning-up the eyesore.
