The body of a missing kayaker was found by a group of runners early this morning at South West Rocks.
Police began a full scale search for the 69-year-old man, after his kayak was found floating in the Macleay River just before 11am yesterday.
He was last seen on a boat ramp on the New Entrance Road two hours earlier, ferrying supplies to his yacht anchored off-shore.
The group found the man’s body on the beach at Scotts Head just before 7am today.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
