FLOOD WARNING FOR NORTHERN RIVERS

Flood warnings also remain in place across the Northern Rivers region after Ballina was inundated with 147mm overnight.

Motorists are once again being urged not to drive through flood waters, the SES carrying out 8 flood rescues in the region in the last 24 hours.

Residents who live close to the coast should be aware of high tides, which can increase chances of flash flooding.
