ARMIDALE MALL VIBRANCY PLAN ON PUBLIC DISPLAY THIS WEEK

Armidale Regional Council has applied for a $3.3-million state government grant to see the town’s mall brought back to life.
Mayor, Simon Murray says residents have long been concerned about the mall’s ability to attract locals and visitors.
A vibrancy plan to reinvigorate the mall has been in the works for some months and will go on public display next week.
The reintroduction of traffic is a possibility under the plan, but Mayor Murray says for now it’s just a concept. He’s encouraging locals to view the plans and give any feedback.
