TRAVEL CARD HOPES TO HELP SENIOR COASTIES
A new travel allowance is aiming to cut the cost of pensioners getting around.
Around 4,000 Central Coast residents will have access to the Regional Senior Travel Card from Wednesday, loaded up with $250.
It can be used to pay for train services and replacement coaches, fuel expenses, and taxi fares.
The state government initiative takes the pinch out of getting to and from doctors’ appointments, grocery shopping and other everyday tasks.
