A woman’s allegedly been caught drink driving in a break-down lane on the M1 at Lake Macquarie.
The 48-year-old was stopped by police at Wyee yesterday, and returned a positive roadside breath test.
She was taken to Wyong Police Station, where she returned a reading of 0.140 – almost three times the legal blood alcohol limit.
She’s been charged with mid-range PCA and driving over a solid edge line, and will face court on February 17.
It comes as police admonish drink drivers, after several people were arrested on the final day of Operation Safe Return.
