RUGBY LEAGUE’S PERFECT MATCH

Having just started their fourth season, Collegians Warriors finally secured their long-term survival today.

The club’s first under 13s side finally hit the playing field, as Group 4’s newest club builds its junior base.

It comes after a partnership with the Collegians junior club, who previously only had teams up to under 12s.

“Our 13s this year will roll to a 14s, and then eventually if we can keep them, they’ll end up playing for the senior club.”

Both the senior and junior clubs believe it’ll help keep young people playing rugby league.

“I coached our Under 16s side last year, and four of those kids hadn’t played since Collegians 12s. So we lost them to the game for probably too long.”
