A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was hit by a car on the Central Coast yesterday afternoon.
The 23-year-old man was struck by the ute while he was standing in the centre of the carriageway on Ocean Beach Road at Woy Woy, just before 6 o’clock.
He fell to the ground and suffered serious facial injuries and spinal fractures.
He was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.
The 40-year-old driver of the ute was not injured.
Police have seized the ute for mechanical examinations.
