The Bellingen Shire Council says it could relax water restrictions following
heavy rain over the weekend.
Mayor Dominic King, says staff will monitor river levels which have swollen upstream of the town.
Bellingen is currently on Level-4 restrictions and was facing the prospect of tougher measures before the rain.
An announcement is expected to be made in the next few days.
