GOLD COAST MAN STABBED WITH SCISSORS IN ALLEGED CONFRONTATION

A man will face a Gold Coast court after he allegedly stabbed another man with a pair of scissors overnight.
Police say an altercation broke out between the two men, aged 35 and 49, just after midnight at a residence on Norman Street in Southport.
The younger man, from Benowa, was allegedly stabbed with a pair of scissors and taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with injuries to his hands and forearms.
A 49-year-old Surfers Paradise man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm, and possession of dangerous drug.
