TAREE TAFE HOSTS REGION’S FIRST ‘DAY OF ACTION AGAINST SEXUAL ASSAULT’

Taree’s North Coast TAFE today hosted the region’s inaugural ‘The Day of Action against Sexual Assault’.
Community services across the Manning Valley got involved, planting a Magnolia tree in honour of sexual assault victims.
The day aims to promote discussion and education surrounding the issue.
“I believe that we can’t have change until we can recognise that we need change.”
“We’re hoping that we might you know inspire other organisations to come on board now, we will do this as a year event now.”
The first Day of Action in the state was held in 1992.
