GAV’S WEATHER | RAIN ON THE WAY

Rain has begun to fall over drought-affected parts of far west NSW and QLD, while isolated showers are building over the coast.
The two weather systems are predicted to merge in the coming days producing heavy rain across Eastern Australia, soaking the fire ravaged regions.
The fires should be extinguished over the next week.
Heavy rain, showers and storms will stick around for a number of days, with localised flash-flooding expected in some areas.
This will be a week-long rain event – the best we’ve seen for a long time.
