BOATING COMMUNITY OFFERS DAY OUT FOR RFS VOLUNTEERS

Those battling the devastating bushfires will have a chance to cool off, thanks to a boating initiative giving firefighters and their families a day out on the water.
“Fires have raged over Christmas, over New Years, so all those kids don’t have their families, so this will hopefully be a little thing we can do as a club and as a wider boating community just to help out and provide a little bit of relief for them.” – Mark Norden, Lake Macquarie Yacht Club CEO.
The event will take place on March 15 on Lake Macquarie, Pittwater and Sydney Harbour.
Boat owners interested in donating their vessels and time can register with Above and Beyond Boating.
