HANG GLIDER CRASHES ON LAKE MACQUARIE BEACH

A scenic soar over Newcastle this morning triggered a flight to John Hunter Hospital.

A hang glider came down on Dudley Beach, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter dispatched to retrieve the pilot.

Clearly not too badly hurt, the 53-year-old woman was up and walking when the crew landed.

She was flown to hospital in a stable condition for observation.
