Surf Life Savers across New South Wales will be patrolling beaches over the public holidays regardless of weather conditions.
The flags will be up on Christmas and Boxing Day.
Beaches along the Mid North Coast are expected to be popular during the peak season.
Surf life savers urge swimmers to take care when entering the water but will be ready for any incidents including rock fishers, divers and falls.
