Walcha residents have received an early Christmas gift, with the council offering free access to the town’s pool this season.
The decision comes as Walcha spends its fourth summer in drought… leaving many families without a stable income.
The bill to keep the pool running will be picked-up by community clubs.
Free admission commenced yesterday, with the pool’s summer season scheduled to conclude on March 29.
