Surf Life Savers are urging swimmers to stick to patrolled beaches, after a man drowned at Terrigal.
It’s understood he came into trouble snorkelling near the Skillion on Tuesday night.
Members of the public attempted to resuscitate him, before emergency services arrived.
Sadly, he could not be revived.
