Police in Coffs Harbour have arrested a man who they claim was about to rob a bank in the city yesterday morning.
The 48-year-old man was arrested while sitting in his car outside a bank in Harbour Drive.
Police say he was wearing a balaclava and was in possession of a large knife and gloves.
The man has been charged with a string of offences and has been remanded in custody.
