LESS THAN 300 DAYS OF WATER LEFT ACROSS THE HASTINGS

Port Macquarie-Hastings council is forecasting the region has 293 days left of drinking water.

Suffering intense drought, the region is just 74 days from triggering level 4 water restrictions and 137 until emergency restrictions.

The region’s water capacity is sitting at 45%.

The dire predictions will be the major talking point at council’s monthly meeting tonight.
