A much-loved koala, badly burned in the northern New South Wales bushfires, has passed away at the Port Stephens koala hospital.
The not-for-profit reported that Sootie had “lost his battle with horrendous burns” on Sunday night, calling him a “stoic, brave little man” who never complained.
It says his “little body couldn’t cope anymore.”
R.I.P. Sootie.
