A 47-year-old Nambucca Heads man has died after his car left the road and struck a tree at Tewinga, near Macksville, in the early hours of this morning.
The man’s 28-year-old son, who was a passenger in the Mitsubishi sedan, sustained serious internal injuries and was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital in a stable condition.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
