TWO PEOPLE RESCUED AFTER CAR CRASHES DOWN AN EMBANKMENT
A man and a woman have been rescued, after their car left the roadway and crashed down an embankment near Tomewin on the far north coast.
The Tweed District Rescue Squad and Fire & Rescue NSW Murwillumbah responded to reports of a vehicle going over a cliff last night.
A man managed to escape, while a woman was trapped.
She was treated by paramedics, and crews used a vertical rescue rope system to haul the patient up the embankment to a waiting ambulance.
