ARMIDALE HOSPITAL HYDROTHERAPY POOL FORCED TO CLOSE

Hunter New England Health has been forced to permanently close the hydrotherapy pool at Armidale Hospital.
Last September, the local council received a grant from the New South Wales government to build a new pool at the Monckton Aquatic Centre.
The health network had planned on keeping the existing facility open, while that pool was built.
But it says the challenges of keeping the 40-year-old facility compliant with health and safety standards have forced a premature closure.
