There was widespread joy across the North West last night with thunderstorms bringing downpours to much of the region.
Falls were heaviest in Glen Elgin, east of Glen Innes, where 36 milimetres of rain was recorded.
11 milimetres fell in Moree… While Armidale and Tamworth received just under 10.
There could be more rain on the way… with the stormy weather expected to stick around into the evening.
