SMOKEY CONDITIONS CREATE AN EERIE HAZE OVER TAMWORTH

Visibility was poor across most of Tamworth today… the city covered in an eerie blanket of smoke.

The hazy conditions are expected to linger over coming weeks, as bushfires burn across the state.

Sporting fields have been largely empty in the past few days, with some oztag and touch football games cancelled due to poor air quality.

Those who suffer from asthma, or other respiratory problems, are being advised to stay indoors, while drivers should also take extra caution.
