The Hunter’s Lauren Parker has claimed back-to-back Athlete of the Year with a Disability awards at the New South Wales Champions of Sport Ceremony in Sydney.
Parker is heading into the biggest year of her career, culminating with the Tokyo Paralympics.
“Our first big goal of the year though will be in May which will be the world champs in Milan and I hope to defend my world title at that event.”
Cricketer Elise Perry won Athlete of the Year, beating cliff diving world champion, Rhiannan Iffland.
