TECH-SAVVY TAMWORTH STUDENTS TRY THEIR HAND AT ROBOTICS

50 tech-savvy kids showcased their robotic creations at a gala event in Tamworth today.
Students from four city schools participated in the all-day challenge at Oxley High.
They’ve been preparing these impressive models for the past 6 weeks – for some, it’s their 3rd or 4th attempt.
“Today, they need to build a robot, they need to start at the basics, start with a blank sheet of paper and design a robot. They then go through and build it, they have to make sure that they record the process, they have to program it and then they’ve got to work out a strategy to try and win this tournament.”
