WOMAN CHARGED WITH DEFRAUDING PORT STEPHENS RESTAURANT
A woman’s been charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a Port Stephens restaurant over two years.
Police began investigating after the owner of a Soldiers Point Road restaurant reported discrepancies in the business’s takings.
Police arrested a 42-year-old employee of the restaurant at a Nelson Bay home at around 8.15am yesterday.
They allege she stole more than $37,000.
She’s been granted bail and will face court next Monday.
