LEVEL ONE WATER RESTRICTIONS FOR BYRON SHIRE TOWN

Mullumbimby has become the first part of the Byron Shire to be placed on Water Restrictions, with the changes coming into effect yesterday.
As part of the level one restrictions, residents are prohibited from watering their gardens during certain hours of the day.
The restrictions were triggered by a drastic drop in Wilsons Creek, the main water source which feeds the Laverty’s Gap Weir.
Further west, Casino remains on level three restrictions, while Kyogle is at level two.
