Transport Minister Andrew Constance has offered his condolences to the family of Newcastle man, Danny Egan, who died in a cycling accident on the city’s light rail line in July.
The comments came at a budget estimates hearing.
The state government is waiting on a coroner’s report into the incident.
Cyclists have been banned from using the shared stretch of line.
