Temperatures reached 35 degrees today in Gosford, and with there no signs of the mercury dropping, a total fire ban has been enforced across the entire Central Coast from today.
The ban has been prompted by the warm, dry and windy weather conditions set to shape the remainder of the week.
It means no fires can be lit in an open space and fire permits have been cancelled for all areas in the Central Coast and Hawkesbury Councils zones.
