A driver has been killed in a fiery crash at Killingworth in Lake Macquarie overnight.
Police say the vehicle was travelling north on the M1 near O’Donnelltown Road at about 11:40pm, when it left the road and crashed into bushland.
The vehicle then caught alight and the driver died at the scene.
Police are working to identify the driver, and the crash is under investigation.
