The Member for Northern Tablelands has called for the government to put more effort into bushfire preparation.
After a fire near Ebor scorched more than 100,000 hectares, Adam Marshall says there needs to be more consistent hazard reduction burning.
“My office has received multiple letters, emails and phone calls from farmers who have talked about how the fire has changed their mindset from facing the worst drought in history, to now include processing the outcome of the worst fire in their local history.”
He’s also requested an immediate review of fire management in national parks.
