Tamworth Regional Council has unveiled concept plans for a state-of-the-art performance and cultural centre in the city.
Currently, the council has a 15-year lease agreement on Tamworth’s Capitol Theatre…
However, with the lease due to expire in 2023, council wants a community-owned centre that can better cater for the city’s needs.
Council is hoping to secure State and Federal Government funding for the $128 million dollar project.
The designs will be discussed at next week’s meeting.
