Police say they’ve made a significant dent into the supply of illicit drugs in Lake Macquarie after three people were charged with drug supply offences.
Strike Force Birs was set up to lead the investigation in July, with raids carried out at homes on Park Street at Argenton and Ellesmere Street at Booragul on Thursday.
During the operation, police allegedly found a number of drugs, predominately methylamphetamine and GHB.
A slingshot and ammunition was also seized.
Three people, aged between 24 and 27 were charged with a number of drug related offences.
