A takeaway shop near Tamworth has been the victim of an early evening robbery.
Police have been told a man armed with a knife demanded cash from staff at the Oxley Vale business, just before 7 o’clock on Sunday evening.
He ran from the store on Manilla Road with cash and cigarettes.
Described as being of Caucasian appearance and around 175cm to 180cm tall, at the time the man was wearing a dark grey hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, and socks with no shoes.
No one was injured in the ordeal.
