ILLAWARRA CLAIMS PLATE FINAL VICTORY OVER GROUP 3

Group 3 has gone agonisingly close to securing the plate final in the under 14s division at the Country Championships in Wyong.

The local boys caught Illawarra off guard, the first points of the game coming from this sneaky try from dummy half.

From there tries were traded between the two teams, Group 3 pulling out all stops to halt a dominating Illawarra outfit.

It wasn’t to be, Illawarra securing a 20-12 victory.
