Volunteers from the State Emergency Service have rescued a cow, trapped in mud, near Kendall on the mid-north coast.
They used slides and winches to free Daisy from the edge of a dam on Batar Creek Road on Sunday, in a process which took more than an hour.
She was transported to a paddock on a trailer and helped back onto her hooves.
She was given water and food and escaped the ordeal without injury.
