Tamworth’s Nick Kay and the Australian Boomers have made a winning start to the FIBA World Cup, with a 108 to 92 win over Canada.
The Boomers trailed by 12-points at half-time, before mounting a fight-back in the third quarter.
Kay finished the match with eight-points.
